New York is reporting at least 83,712 total positive cases of COVID-19 and more than 1,941 related deaths, making it the top state with the most U.S. coronavirus cases. A full 45,707 of those cases, 9,775 hospitalizations, and 1,374 deaths, are in New York City.

—The New York Times reported that some doctors in New York City are pushing for the right to withhold care from patients considered unlikely to recover, as ventilator shortages and other issues push hospitals toward rationing care.
